Although Barack Obama's chefs have been deemed "essential," employees at the National Institutes of Health who offer last-chance experimental cancer treatments for children suffering from cancer have not.

While our president still enjoys his essential employees and locations: the White House chefs, Camp David, and a military golf course, there doesn't seem to be any question that in mercenary pursuit of a political win, this White House is determined to unreasonably punish as many everyday people as possible. And this includes children sick with cancer. That might sound like hyperbole, but it is not.

For Obama and his media minions, the stakes around sequester are mammoth. With the economy already tanking, the hope is to blame sequester for the president's failed left-wing economic policies.

If the White House and its media can convince enough Americans that cutting the federal budget by a measly 2% is to blame for our economic problems, that will be a crowning propaganda victory for the left. Better still, Obama and his media want to blame the GOP for these draconian, world-ending cuts. That push is all about Democrats taking over the House in 2014 and Obama owning the government for the last two years of his failed presidency. *shudder*

Koch Industries recently published a response to the work of UK Independent journalist Steve Connor, whose work, Koch says, "misled readers." The two articles accused Koch Industries of secretly funding attacks on climate change.

The articles written by Connor "got many facts about Koch wrong," according to the open letter published on the company's website. Koch was also unhappy that the British newspaper edited down its letter to the paper without their knowledge, "censoring key information and important context." The accusatory pieces were titled "Exclusive: Billionaires secretly fund attacks on climate science" and "Top climate scientist denounces billionaires over funding for climate-sceptic organisations," published on January 24 and 25 respectively. Koch's open letter pointedly said that the articles were "predictable in repeating tired and debunked partisan accusations" about their company and said journalist Connor essentially started with a premise and went on to "prove" his claims, "offering readers just one side of the story."

President Barack Obama and, for that matter, most of America seem woefully ignorant about a scandal unfolding at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

As hard as it is to believe, outgoing Administrator Lisa Jackson actually appears to have had agency personnel create a fictitious employee by the name of "Richard Windsor" so that Jackson could appropriate the Windsor's email address for her own purposes. We're not talking about some alias to be used for personal correspondence but a totally false identity in whose name official business was allegedly conducted created specifically to avoid federal record-keeping and disclosure requirements.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has shut the media out of a key meeting focused on global tobacco policies, according to information published in yesterday's Chattanooga Free-Press.

According to Drew Johnson, author of an op-ed covering the matter, leaders of a meeting of signatories of the WHO's Framework Convention on Tobacco Control banned reporters from covering the proceedings when "a discussion began about efforts to decrease tobacco use by increasing the price of tobacco products."

One week before the presidential election, a Congressional committee released Obama administration emails that showed a pattern of political pressure from President Barack Obama and others in his administration.

The emails indicate favoritism toward Democrat politicians and donors in the awarding of federal energy loans. The mainstream media chose not to report on the emails, even though just days before their release, Obama had flatly stated in an interview that politics played no part in awarding the loans. In the old days of hard-nosed journalism, i.e., before the Age of Obama, if the president was caught lying about his involvement in a government payola scandal, it would have been front page news and led the evening newscasts of the broadcast networks. Not anymore.

You've all seen the video. A Staten Island resident pleading desperately for help and assistance. "We are gonna die here!" she screams, seemingly to a pool of TV cameras.

This is the image CBS, MSNBC, and other news outlets showed you of Donna Solli begging for assistance. What you don't see, what the media didn't show you, was who she was really talking to. She wasn't desperately begging the TV stations for help. She wasn't begging a faceless bureaucrat from FEMA for help. Take a look who she was pleading with and complaining to for the lack of efficient delivery of much needed relief...

This is just an effort to justify the EPA's ongoing drive to give itself more power to control our daily lives by cajoling readers to accept its political point of view by stealth.

The Environmental Protection Agency has been indulging its inner propagandist by spending at least $3.5 million to float a newspaper that is purportedly "reporting" on the EPA's pet issues. Unfortunately for the readers of this newspaper, the fact that the EPA is its sugar daddy is never told the reading public. So much for an independent press!

Shockingly, MSNBC and CNN were the lucky recipients of Obama's stimulus bucks for a jobs program that netted no new jobs.

The advertisements were created to promote Obama's so-called "green training" job programs and were handled by the PR firm McNeely Pigott & Fox Public Relations LLC at a cost of $495,000 to the taxpayers. Two video ads ran for two months, 14 times a week during Countdown With Keith Olbermann and The Rachel Maddow Show...

Leave it to the press to play up a deeply flawed study showing that only unthinking people believe in religion.

According to the Los Angeles Times today, "Those who think more analytically are less inclined to be religious believers than are those who tend to follow a gut instinct, researchers conclude." The journal Science published the study, which suggests that intuition tends toward religion, but that rational thought tends toward atheism. How was this crucial study performed?
