These incredible African Wildlife and scenic images were taken on various excursions around the African continent, by our friend and photographer Herb Coleman. We have enjoyed these images and hope that you like them too.
I have done my best to identify the wildlife shown here. If you find an error or can identify the animal images found here, please contact me so that we can provide accurate information to our visitors.

Are you a shutterbug who loves to take lots of pictures? The digital camera's we have today are simply fabulous. We take pictures — lots of pictures, but to be honest keeping track of them on our computer and organizing them can be a real pain.
If you have ever lost photographs on your own computer, do not feel alone. I can't tell you just how many times I've searched and search for an image that I knew for a fact that I had but try as I may, I could not locate it.
Picasa puts an end to all that searching and frustration. Picasa can automatically search your computer for all your photo's and import them for you automatically. Picasa offers loads of extras. You can get rid of red eye in a snap, share pictures with your friends quickly and easily.
Picasa sorts your photo's and images into their own folder, to create a tidy display. My personal favorite is being able to rotate an image without losing quality, which is what happens with many other photo programs. If you haven't tried Picasa, you are really missing out.
Picasa was created by Google, a company that most of us are familiar with and trust. I'm always a little leary of downloading free software but I have to tell you that next to Google Earth, this is one of the neatest free programs I have ever used. Picasa — The easy way to find, edit, and share your photos. Try it today!
These desktop wallpapers are available in .jpg format. I have set them to the highest possible quality. Each image is downloadable at 1600 x 1200 pixel resolution. This should accomodate most screen sizes.
To see what resolution your computer is displaying, right-click on your desktop, select "Properties", and choose the "Settings" tab (this will work for Windows 95/98/NT/XP).
There are two ways to use these images as your desktop wallpaper. The easiest way is to click on the thumbnail of the image you would like to download, then right-click on the image and select "Set as Wallpaper" or "Set as Background". Your browser will automatically set the image as your background.
For those who would like to save these images for later use — click on the thumbnail of the image you would like to save, then right-click on the image and select "Save Image As" or "Save Picture As" (depending on your browser). Make sure you remember where you are saving the wallpaper images. Once you have saved them to your computer, you can view them (offline) with a browser and install them as in the above procedure. If you have a separate program, which handles wallpapers, you may also be able to select them from there.
I hope you enjoy these pictures, just keep in mind that they are the highest quality images I could upload (they are very large files) in most cases at least 2 mg. So, be sure to save them to your computer before trying to view them. I will be adding more as time allows.
